Who are we?

The story of Fragaria

It is a story about the love for the land, a constant desire for innovation, and creating a sustainable company with the greatest respect for nature and the environment.

It all started in the late 1980s with the establishment of the first commercial strawberry plantation in Croatia. Founded as a family business by two enthusiasts with a long-term vision, it has grown into a structured company with over 150 full-time employees.

Today, Fragaria is the leading company in Croatia in the production of apples, small berries and "ready to eat" salads with a tradition spanning more than 30 years.

The name Fragaria itself comes from the Latin word for strawberry.

Even today, strawberries are our first love and the symbol by which we are recognized in the region and beyond.

Over the years, we have invested in employees, technology, and we have raised berry and apple plantations.

In 1997, we made a step towards the processing industry and became the first REGIONAL producer of minimally processed packaged salads, fruits and vegetables for immediate consumption in.

In addition to our own production, Fragaria also carries out organized purchase of fresh fruit and vegetables for the needs of supply chains, the Ho.Re.Ca sector, and our own factory for minimal processing.

As partners and suppliers, we are present in almost all shopping centers in Croatia and in the region. In addition to shopping centers, we are the exclusive partner supplier for international and regional restaurant chains in Croatia and Slovenia.
